This awesome weekend will feature several events… The two biggest ones will be the annual Double Down Hoe Down (7) downhill bike race which includes two seperate days of racing on two different courses, and The People’s Enduro which will be a single day, 3 stage event. Double Down Hoe Down – Beacon Hill, Spokane, WA – March 27-29, 2015
The downhill race season is back upon us, and we’ll be kicking it off at Beacon in Spokane, WA again for 2015! We thought the Double Down had died in 2013, but it turns out that we had more life to live… This classic 2 day downhill event will be accompanied by an enduro race and a few other events during the same weekend!
The downhill event will include two races, as usual, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. There will be practice all day Friday, as well Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Racing will be coordinated so racers may participate in The People’s Enduro and the Sunday DH race.
Race will start at 1pm BOTH days
Cost of Double Down Hoe Down race is is $27/day or $50 for both days.
Register online by March 19, 2015 – All major credit cards can be used for early registration or you can register online without making payment (select “Pay at Event”)
After March 19, 2015 there will be a $10 late registration fee.
All DOWNHILL racers will also be required to ride and race in a full faced helmet.
The People’s Enduro – Beacon Hill, Spokane, WA
The terrain at Beacon Hill in Spokane lends itself to many styles of mountain biking, and is accessible to riders of all skill levels. This will be a conventional enduro, where you are timed only on the downhill stages. The transition stages will be short-ish and fun, and will have to be completed within the time allotted, but will not be part of the race.
Changes for 2015 - We will no longer be running the DH course as the 3rd stage of The People’s Enduro, in addition there will be a new track for the first stage as well! Stay tuned…
The People’s Enduro details –
Practice: March 27-28, 2015 – all day
Race: March 29th, 2015 at 10am
3 timed stages, stages will range from 5-10 minutes, 2000-2500 feet of climbing during the event, racers will be sent at 30 second intervals at the start of each stage. Awards will follow at the end of the downhill race.
Racing will start promptly at 10am Sunday March 29th and the cost of The People’s Enduro race is $55.

Online registration will be open until March 25th and event registration will be open March 27st at Beacon, there will be a $10 late fee assessed for registration after March 19th and at-event registration. No entries will be accepted on the day of event, as the timing is too tight to take on any stragglers.
Camping will be available from 3/26/15 – 3/30/15 at no charge, in the Camp Sekani parking lot.
